About Founder
Praveen is an artist and a great admirer of Indian art and Vedic culture obvious in India’s magnificent temples and ancient architecture.
About Varnam
Varnam (means colour in Sanskrit), located in South India, was founded in 1996 for marketing all handicraft products.
With professionals and skilled artists, Varnam became a focused company creating stone and bronze sculptures. In 2002, we started our own creative workshop in Orissa aiming for exports.
Today we have 7 award-winning master artists for stone and 2 for bronze and 75 talented artists to support them.
We foster values and skills intrinsic to the creation of traditional art in stone sculptures, bone sculptures, etc. and dedicated to the advancement of the sculpture industry.
Tools and Materials
All stone sculptures, bone sculptures, garden stone sculptures, garden bronze sculptures, etc. are completely hand worked. No power tools or CNC machines are used. Only chisel and hammer are used, which is similar to the creation of sculptures in the great Indian temples.
We work in various types of stone ranging from soft stone to hard granite depending on the demand of the customer.
Bronze and Panchaloha (means alloy of 5 metals) statues are all brought to life by the traditional casting method – lost wax mold method and then handcrafted.
Our Focus
Our concentration and interest is more on custom design orders rather than selling ready made pieces.
How Do We Work On Orders?
At every stage of work, the status will be updated to you with photographs. On receipt of feedback and suggestions from you, the work of stone sculptures, bone sculptures, etc. will proceed further. This helps you to get the exact product of your expectation.
Once the entire work is completed, images are forwarded and after the receipt of green signal from you, the shipment is done.
Any request of additional design or changes on the ordered stone sculptures, bone sculptures, garden stone sculptures, or garden bronze sculptures, is also done depending on the possibility of the work status.
